Chick-Fil-A Nuggets
Got picky eaters at home? Convince the kids that you picked up their favorite menu item from Chick-Fil-A, when you really saved a bundle and made them yourself. Look for good prices on chicken tenders. Refrigerate what you need for one meal and freeze the rest for another time.

- 1 Deep Fry Thermometer
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- 2 pounds chicken tenders cut into bute-size pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour plus more as needed
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp granulated garlic
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- 2-3 cups vegetable oil for deep frying
- Chick-fil-A Sauce
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, beat the egg. Whisk in the milk. Add the chicken pieces to the mixture and turn them to thoroughly coat. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, powdered sugar, garlic, pepper, and paprika.
- Drain the chicken from the milk marinade and discard the marinade.
- Fill a heavy-bottomed saucepan or electric fryer halfway with the vegetable oil and heat to between 350° and 375° (use a deep-fry thermometer)
- Toss the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, coating completely. Working in batches, fry the chicken until cooked through and golden on all sides. Drain the nuggets on paper towels and serve hot.
- Serve Chick-fil-A sauce for dipping.
